waf_tools.vscode.build_settings(bld: BuildContext, vscode_dir: Node, tg: task_gen) → None

Patch settings.json with project-specific editor settings.

Reads the template settings.json from vscode_dir, then:

  • Configures pylint.args with the project’s pyproject.toml path (if pylint is set on the task generator).

  • Adds waf’s internal library paths to python.analysis.extraPaths (if python_extra_paths is set).

  • Merges additional file exclusion patterns into files.exclude (if files_exclude is set).

Parameters:

  • bld – The active build context.

  • vscode_dir – The target .vscode directory node.

  • tg – The task generator providing configuration attributes.
