waf_tools.vscode.configure(ctx: ConfigurationContext) → None

Configure the waf build system for VS Code workspace generation.

Performs the following steps:

  1. Locates the VS Code code executable via find_vscode(). If not found, the tool is silently disabled.

  2. Detects the platform-specific shell and fox.py wrapper via get_fox_py_wrapper_executable(). If neither pwsh nor bash is available, a warning is emitted and task generation is skipped.

  3. Locates gcc (used as a dummy compilerPath for IntelliSense in c_cpp_properties.json).

  4. Locates gdb (used for debug configurations in launch.json).
